Our NHS and public services are in crisis – while inequality and poverty surge. But our country doesn't have to be this way.
In the upcoming Autumn Statement – where the government sets out its spending plans – politicians will once again claim that there is no extra money for our NHS, schools and communities. But we know this is a political choice. The UK is one of the wealthiest countries in the world, yet the government is choosing to leave money on the table, rather than recouping it for all of our benefit. Politicians could choose to take up our wealth tax proposals, raising up to £50 billion. Those with the broadest shoulders could be asked pay their fair share, giving Britain’s public services the cash that is desperately needed. The choice for politicians is clear. They’re either on the side of loopholes and giveaways for the super-rich, or on the side of people like you and me trying to get by. We are making great strides We're fighting to tax the super rich – those who have tens of millions of pounds – and reform the way wealth is taxed. We're demanding that money is invested in our crumbling public services. We're campaigning for a fairer tax system. And a brighter future for everyone. The dedicated team at Tax Justice UK is making fair tax a real possibility as one tool to fix Britain’s crises. We’re a small team with bags of experience, making every pound you donate count. Our work has made wealth taxes a popular conversation in the media and the corridors of Westminster. What was once an unpopular topic has now become ever present in media and political conversations. We’re a go-to voice for fair taxes on the TV, the radio and in newspapers. We’ve won in the past – we can do it again. Last year we helped to force the government to introduce a windfall tax on oil giants. This year we worked with our allies to make the government introduce tougher rules on owning property through shady overseas shell companies. And our message on wealth taxes is growing louder every month, winning over more and more influential people. You have helped us to become a key champion for tax justice. Will you help us keep fighting by supporting us today? Your donation will:
We know that we can win. We’ve got the track record to prove it, and our extraordinary team is up to the challenge. With your support, we will be stronger than ever. We need to raise £20,000 by 1st December to help us build an unstoppable movement for change. People are crying out for an alternative that puts an end to underfunding, underinvestment, and prioritises the things that matter most to us all. We should all be able to see a doctor or dentist when we need one, afford to heat our homes in the winter and put plenty of food on the table each week without breaking the bank. We should have a green and thriving natural world, for us, and generations to come to enjoy. Let’s make our vision for tomorrow, a reality today. Will you join us? Please consider making a donation above to help us keep campaigning. Thanks for your support 😊 |
